Brief:

This deck aims to summon Defeat directly from a lv6 instead of the usual lv3->7.  Has a lot of lv3 removal, countering the traditional anti-zoo strategy of going wide and win in 1 turn to prevent Magnadramon.

Key Features

  • Security galore
  • Using BT05-Tai & Matt to make Defeat a must remove target
  • Lots of removal tools to keep yourself alive
  • Great at dealing with lv3 boards
  • "Dra"/"Grey" themed easily triggering BT4-Heir of Dragons

How to Play

  • Devolve/removal to hit lv6+
  • Hope for a Defeat to be in security
  • Setup Tai & Matt and attack with Omnimons
Weaknesses
  • Limited security recovery
  • 12000DP digimon can safely swing into security due to lack of ST-T.K and low DP lv6s
  • Has to overkill lv4,5s, no mid size removal apart from Alter-S

Cards to Consider

Provides effect protection, but in bt05 meta where every deck's main lv6 is 12000DP or higher, it needs to be paired with removal/devolve to ensure Craniamon is the largest on field

Theory: Cheaper is not necessarily better Take these cards for example. Assume your strategy is to rush to a lv6 most of us would pick Roachmon or Kabuterimon for the 1cost evo, Roachmon to enable a hard summon, Kabuterimon to have an inherit effect. Few would pick Woodmon, because you're just going to evo over it in the breeding zone, thus blocker is wasted and you have to pay 2 cost, might as well just pick Togemon which is also 2cost as well with an inherit. But Togemon has a similar effect as Kabuterimon, thus no point in paying 1 extra memory for the same effect. Similarly Vegiemon's higher DP has no value if used as an evo material. While in a vacuum, completely ignoring what your opponent has, there certainly is no reason to not run the cheapest digimon to reach to the lv6 faster. However most non-aggro decks would opt to run a tamer that sets their memory to 3, in fact most deck base a part of their strategy on having the 3 memory to make their plays. This creates 3 sce...
Theory: Forced Acceleration of Game State and 3 Mem Tamers Many players would opt to play their 3 mem tamer as soon as possible to make most advantage of the guarenteed 3 mem and the occational "profit" you get from the opponent passing turn to you by giving less than 3 memeory.  Its obvious that when players try memory choke each other fewer cards are played each turn thus slower game state, vice versa spending tons of memory lets both players play more cards each turn thus accelerating the game state. Less obvious is that once any player plays a 3 mem tamer it actually forces both players to accelerate the game state as well, and because of this it may not be the best play to play the 3 mem tamer. If you have the 3 mem tamer, you clearly have better capabilities to setup the board and make plays, this in turn forces the enemy to commit something to the board and answer or take the loss. Alternatively you could hard summon/activate an expensive card thus giving the enemy lo...
